It seems like “what should I make for breakfast?” is always the question of the day. Especially when we’re trying to eat healthier, better for us foods that won’t break the budget. Prepare the tofu and broccoli: While the potatoes boil, in a small bowl, combine the mustard, mayonnaise, garlic, and some pepper. Place the tofu and broccoli on a baking sheet. Spread the mustard mixture on each piece of tofu, then top with the panko. Drizzle the tofu and broccoli with some olive oil. Season the broccoli with salt and pepper. Roast the tofu and broccoli about 15-18 minutes or until they are browned.
I love playing in the kitchen! I guess that’s a pretty obvious comment given that I run this food blog, but it’s true. Nothing makes me happier than a weekend spent cooking in the kitchen with a basketball or football game on in the background. I’m one of those weird guys who enjoys pulling out a long, involved recipe (i.e. “weekend recipe”) and spending the day making it. But, at the same time, I also appreciate quick and easy ways to make tasty meals. Today’s post is a simple way to turn what could be a boring lunchmeat sandwich into a delicious lunch that will leave you looking for more!
3. Economics – by staying home and preparing a gourmet meal for your loved one, you can get a bigger bang for your bucks. For the same cost of buying a mediocre bottle of Champagne in a restaurant, you can trade up for a higher end bottle of bubbly. Same holds true with wine, caviar and I’m sure you can prepare lobster tails or Chateaubriand or a fraction of the cost at home.
